Responsible to: Head of Photographic Operations

Line Manager: Head of Photographic Operations

External relationships: Clients, freelancers, suppliers if outsourcing is required.

Internal relationships: Studio team, Photographic Team, Digital Team, Client Services Team, Directors.

Hours: Mon Fri 9am 5:30pm (flexible hours required)

Main duties and responsibilities:

● Managing and updating the weekly photographic schedule

● Ensure set up and smooth running of photographic sets daily

● Producing and managing a forecast schedule for the production team

● Coordinate and manage the studio team to plan for and deliver daily brand targets, ensuring the cover is organised where necessary

● Continually look at ways to improve workflow, productivity and efficiencies, whilst focusing on quality

● Support in providing leadership to inspire, engage and motivate team

● Communicating and support the client services team from a production aspect

Ensuring quality control and deadlines are met within the studio

● Supporting the Head of Photographic Operations in the Management and ensuring targets are met on a daily basis

● Supporting in the HR processes for the Photographic team

● Ensuring the studio is tidy and all members are supporting in a tidy up keep of the studio

● Supporting in scheduling training and testing for development / progression for the team

● Managing the press team in ensuring garments are products are handling and preparing in a high quality

● Support the Store team in the process of stockroom control

● Support the Repro team in QC for retouching when required

● Ensure that briefing processes are followed

● Determine and clearly communicate the vision, strategy and objectives of the studio team

● Having an input on invoices and quoting with Client services

● Booking and finance control of all freelancers

● Managing profitable time sheets for the photographic team

Maintenance of Photographic kit and ownership of the kit inventory

Management of internal set builds

● Support the studio team in their work ensuring on brand/high level of production

General office management duties, including stationery orders, health and safety

Maintaining good communication between other departments for the Photographic team


Knowledge and Skills required:

● Exceptional understanding on a photographic studio

● 3 4 years experience as a production Manager

● Develop and maintain a culture of ‘cando’ throughout other departments

● Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how actions affect profit

● Excellent allround communication and influencing skills

● Proven experience of project management

● Proven experience of managing and leading teams of both creative and operational staff in a high volume and high quality production environment

● Solid experience delivering both operational efficiency and quality of assets

● Excellent communication and people management skills

● Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure

● Strong numeracy skills, attention to detail, and a creative eye

● Comfortable liaising at all levels within the business

● Ability to react positively to rapidly

● Uptodate technical knowledge in photography, post production, digital media tools and technologies;

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Capture One and networked systems equipment

● Strong leadership skills and a true team player with the ability to delegate
