It’s not very often you can fry an egg on the hood of a car in Manchester but with yesterday’s vibrant rays you could probably have cooked a whole Sunday roast on the backseat. Whilst many of us were lapping up the sun in our gardens a few Photolinkers were doing laps of a different kind. Debbie (Head of Creative Talent), Nik (Digital Creative) and Wes (Ecommerce Manager for Little Black Dress) made a mockery of us all as they laced up their trainers in near-tropical conditions for the BUPA Great Manchester Run.
The event, which is now Europe’s biggest 10km run, took in Old Trafford, the Imperial War Museum and the new Coronation Street set before finishing on Deansgate. Debbie, running for Cancer Research UK, Nik, running for the Alzheimer’s Society, and Wes, running for Mind, all ran in under an hour and raised a total of £2,255 between them. Outstanding. But let’s not forget Sabina, who ran 5k the previous day for Lupus UK and has so far raised £728 in collaboration with other fundraisers.
Of course, there’s still opportunity to donate to their invaluable causes, just click on their names above to go to the relevant Just Giving/Virgin Money Giving pages.
Well done to those four and thank you for any extra donations.
