About the Role

The Head of Paid Media will work closely within the digital and creative teams. You will be the main person within the agency to take charge of all PPC & Paid Social projects, across a wide range of clients. This is an integral role to both build a profile for the agency and deliver new and existing client projects. This will involve working with key stakeholders both internally and externally to understand objectives and business needs that will formulate a paid media strategy and sync with an integrated digital marketing strategy

This role will be ideal for someone who is a Paid Media Manager or Senior Paid Media Manager looking to take the next step in their career. The successful applicant will be based in our Manchester offices, working a hybrid schedule.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Creating paid media strategies, forecasts and reports for clients and the account management teams. 
  • Working closely with the relevant client services, creative and digital teams to increase client performance and ROI.
  • Managing the relevant paid media channels for our clients, such as Google ads and Facebook. As well as assisting the team/client with any queries they may have. 
  • Reporting relevant KPI’s and insights to clients using effective and appropriate attribution models.
  • On-going optimisation of campaigns, bidding and ad content strategies.
  • Monitoring, forecasting account budgets and monthly spend.
  • Collaborating with the team to offer key insights and opportunities.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and trends across PPC and Paid Media.
  • Assisting with new business pitches.

We’re looking for a Specialist who:

  • Is well versed in managing intricate and large paid media campaigns. Including but not limited to the following channels; Google ads, Facebook/Instagram/Meta, Youtube, Tiktok, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Enjoys turning reports, analysis and insights into action.
  • Is keen on exploring customer acquisition, utilising the latest innovations and trends
  • Has an eye for detail and thrives on testing new campaigns/tactics.
  • Has the ability to proactively plan a solid strategy for customer acquisition whilst having the agility to react and implement ad-hoc tactical changes.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Minimum 4 years experience in this or a similar role.
  • Have created and are comfortable creating thorough and well structured paid media strategies.
  • A deep understanding of Google ads and Facebook (Instagram) ads.
  • Knowledge of Google merchant centre
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Experience in a senior position.
  • Comfortable with managing multiple clients across a range of channels, countries and campaigns.
  • Experience of creating client facing reports including insightful commentary and solutions.
  • Have strong problem solving skills.
  • Be a logical and analytical thinker.
  • Be interested in innovation, keeping up to date with the latest trends and having the ability to incorporate this into the Paid Media strategy.

Desired but not essential:

  • Knowledge of Google Data Studio
  • Implementation of tracking and setting up of conversion goals
  • Any relevant certifications (i.e. Google ads or Facebook)
  • Agency background
