About the Role

As our Photographic Art Director you will play an integral part in the Seventy7 creative team, creatively overseeing our photographic output. This is a great opportunity for a driven, motivated, experienced and creative art director to join our fantastic team to help us reach our next level of growth. Covering all aspects of our photographic & video offer, you will be integral in providing the photographic team with creative direction, knowledge of best practice and mentoring. Your key focus will be to raise the creativity and efficiency of our photographic output, whilst ensuring all briefs are adhered to and delivered.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Creative Direction

  • Receive and interpret photographic briefs from clients, working closely with our new business and client services teams to plan and execute all projects.
  • Planning and creating content across all platforms and channels.
  • Produce innovative and highly creative concepts which answer the brief and be able to present these confidently to clients and internal teams.
  • Art direct shoots both in studio and on location
  • Sourcing and selecting freelance talent, models and locations required for a particular project.

Mentoring the photographic team

  • Identify and broaden the skillsets of our in-house team, highlighting best practice and setting tasks and tests to elevate our photographic offer.
  • When required, lead the recruitment process for new additions to the team.
  • Create and continually update portfolio’s to assist with new business.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience of working in the photographic & creative industries for a minimum of 5 years across a range of sectors, that include fashion, beauty, sportswear, interiors and lifestyle and with a focus on creating content for use across all platforms and channels.
  • Be fully proficient with creative cloud software principally indesign and photoshop.
  • Have the ability to direct photographic teams to deliver briefs to the clients requirements.
  • Be aware of new trends and technologies within the photographic and creative industries.
    Have a creative mindset coupled with commercial thinking, and able to lead with the ability to think on their feet.
  • Excellent people skills with the ability to communicate at all levels internally and externally.
  • Super organised with phenomenal attention to detail and lots of energy.
