Studio Assistants

From our studios in Manchester our services include branding, web design, digital marketing, creative, photography, production and video all of which are wrapped with end to end account management and logistics production – put simply we plan, create, deliver and optimise content for our clients.

About the Role

We are looking for Studio assistants to work in our busy photographic studios in Manchester offering a 1st class experience to any client hiring our studios. This will include sorting any refreshments, lunch, props, lighting and any other requirements that may be needed. You will ensure that the studios are turned around in a timely manner and, where possible, they are ready for hire when not booked out for any last minute bookings that may come in.

Flexible hours are essential to include OOO for early starts and late finishes, depending on the requirement of the Client.

Weekend work is essential and we would expect at least 2 weekend days to be covered each month. However, overtime will be payable or recompensed as time off in lieu.

You will be involved with the general upkeep of the studios together with the Set Building team. You will also be responsible for liaising with cleaning staff to inform them of their requirements each day.

You will be responsible for full control of all the studio camera and lighting equipment, together with colouramas. You will ensure that the equipment and lighting is fully maintained and be able to maintain full records of repair schedules and costs associated. In addition, you will be responsible for the costing and ordering of any equipment that may be required for studio or location and production shoots.

 

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Organising all production kit required for location shoots and ensuring that anything used is replenished and always ready for a production/hire.
  • Keeping track of cash and credit card payment and ensuring that all receipts are handed in with correct job number in a timely manner.
  • Working with the Set Building and Merchandise teams when any help is required in either moving sets or samples.
  • To be pro-active in improving running of studios and hire, implementing new ideas and innovations.
  • Looking at ways to promote the studios with existing and new clients.
  • Must be able to drive, ideally a transit van, and have a clean licence.
