Talking shop with Tameside College photography students

Last week we welcomed a group of students completing the excellent Diploma in Photography at Tameside College. We say excellent from a position of authority (and a little trepidation!) as we’ve got a few alumni holding senior positions within our photographic, styling and reprographic teams.

Photographic production manager Kirsty Worthington, who invited them in, completed an industry-focussed photography course at the college during the 00s and now heads up a team of still life and ecommerce product photographers in our studios.

She was contacted by students keen to see working studios in action and learn how one of Manchester’s longest-running creative photographic agencies operates day to day, as well as gain a clear understanding of how their talent could be applied on a professional environment.

Flattered to be asked, we pulled out all the stops – and studio manager Julian – to make sure they got the best possible insight on an action-packed tour of our five-studio complex.

We’d like to wish everyone who came down all the best of luck in the future and look forward to seeing them soon in the industry. Who knows, it might even be here!
