It’s no secret that 2020 was one of the most challenging years for us all, whether at work or at home. Or indeed, working from home! Often lost in the noise of a stressful time, hardworking charities found 2020 even more difficult than most. While our focus is drawn to bigger headlines, the demand for help on life-altering issues never ceases and the strain can be overwhelming.
As the year drew to a close, at seventy7 we wanted to do something to reach out and contribute to those overlooked. We wanted to make sure that everyone could contribute something, while acknowledging the unforeseen difficulties of life in 2020 for all of us.
So we came up with something a little bit unique, and decided to collectively donate our last hour’s pay of the year to a worthy cause, Together Dementia Support. In doing so, every member of staff who wanted to participate could give a little (or a lot if they felt they could go the extra mile!)
Supporting those who need it most
We collectively chose a cause close to many seventy7 peoples’ hearts. Together Dementia Support is an incredible charity that offers support and therapeutic activities to people living with dementia, their carers and supporters living in Manchester.
We were proud to donate what we could spare to an organisation that has had to redesign their support services under exceptionally tough circumstances. We want you to consider joining us by visiting Together Dementia Support and learning more about the vital, meaningful work they do. And perhaps following suit and donating what you or your business can spare too.
